Welcome to my personal webpage.

I am a Postdoctoral Associate at CU Boulder, CO, working at the WaveLab of the Mechanical Engineering Department. I am responsible for the numerical and exprimental investigation of wave propagation phenomena in solids.

In 2019 I got my Diploma in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). My Diploma thesis was in the field of GPU Acceleration of Numerical Methods for Lifting Flows. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in the internship programme of DNV-GL, where I focused on the coupling of Simulation Platforms for the solution of complex thermodynamic processes found in the maritime industry. During my last year at NTUA, I participated at the Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge (MCSEBC) with the OCEANOS NTUA team, where my responsibility was the optimization of the propulsion system of the team’s boat.

Next, I moved to the University of Trento, Italy, in the Solid and Structural Mechanics Group of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering to study for my PhD in Structural Mechanics. My research topic was the investigation investigation of instabilities in systems of beams with sliding constraints that may exhibit cofigurational forces due to curvature discontinuities. From 2019 to 2022, I participated in the INSPIRE ITN project funded by the Horizon 2020 framework programme. After obtaining my PhD, I participated in the Postdoctoral program of the University of Trento to continue my research on configurational forces.
